Thomas has been a lecturer on various topics for Supreme Court approved continuing legal education.
Thomas is certified to appear before the United States Tax Court, the United States Federal Court Northern District of Ohio, the United States Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit and the State Courts of Ohio.
Thomas currently holds positions on the Boards of the following charitable organizations: the Library of St. Anthony Company, The Hermit Club, and the Language Abroad Institute. He is past President of the Western Reserve Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, past President of the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center Supporting Foundation, past Board Member of the Ohio Society of the Order of Founders and Patriots of America, and past Trustee of The Music School Settlement.
For over twenty-five years, Thomas has served as a Director and Officer of Scranton-Averell, Inc. Thomas also serves as an Officer and Board Member for many other privately-held companies.

In recent years, she has also been a Power of the Pen Coach and an Elder at Rocky River Presbyterian Church.
